Homecoming

Lockwood High School will be celebrating its football Homecoming on Friday, October 4. Alumni groups are encouraged to include the Homecoming festivities in your weekend plans! Kick-off is at 7pm with coronation at halftime.


Prairie Station Street Dance

Prairie Station will be hosting a Street Dance with live music by Chuck & Company from 8-11pm on Friday night. A limited food menu will be available inside the restaurant, bar service available outdoors during the Street Dance.

Games, Food & More

Local school and civic organizations will be providing food and entertainment throughout the day. This year we have Games, inflatables & bounce houses covered by a $5 wristband. We’ll have something for everyone in the family!


Hallie Beard Memorial 5K Run & Fun Walk

Join us for the 1st annual Hallie Beard Memorial 5k Run & Fun Walk, being held on September Days weekend in Lockwood, Missouri, and benefitting the Hallie Beard Memorial Foundation scholarship fund. Early registration is currently available at halliebeard.org and includes your event t-shirt. Registration price will increase the day of event.

Packet pick up begins at 7:00 AM and the run/walk begins at 8:00 AM. Medals will be given out for placing runners in different age categories.


Baby Show

Make plans to bring your bundle of joy to the September Days Baby Show on Saturday, October 5 in Lockwood. The diapers-only baby show will take place on the main stage in the Arvest parking lot at 10:30 am (immediately following the September Days parade). Registration will be held prior to the parade, from 9:30-10am near the Main Stage. Entries will be $5 and are open to any baby age 0-24 months.


Car Show

The annual Fred Lemons Memorial Car Show, hosted by the Lockwood Chamber of Commerce, will be held during September Days on Saturday, October 5.  Register at Easson’s any time before 11.  Awards will be presented on the Main Stage.  All entrants will receive a free t-shirt.  Participants are also invited to enter the September Days parade, line-up between Simmons Bank and the Lockwood Grade School at 9:30 am, parade at 10 am.


Parade

The September Days parade will begin at 10 am on Main Street and end at the nursing home. Line-up will be at 9:30 am on 5th Street next to the Elementary School. If your alumni group, team, or school organization would like to be included in the parade, please register by filling out the form on the "Parade" page of the website.


Hot Wheels Races sponsored by Lost Mill Car Wash

At 12:40 (tentative) on the Main Stage, the Lost Mill Car Wash is sponsoring Hot Wheels Races! Bring your fastest racers for this fun first-time event! (We’ll have some extra racers for those who need them.)


Livestock Show

There will be a Livestock show in the American Legion Lot during September Days. The show is open to all youth 18 and under, showing dogs, rabbits, cavies, poultry, beef, and bucket calves. All livestock must be checked-in by 9:30 am to avoid parade traffic. Flyer | Registration Form


Photography Contest

The Lockwood Community Foundation Photography Contest is now accepting submissions! The contest will have 4 age divisions: Grade K-5, Grade 6-8, high school, and adult. And there are 3 composition categories: Scenic/People, Animal, or Floral. Photos may be submitted in 4×6 size, 5×7 or 8×10; in black and white or in color. Filters may be used as long as they are on the camera. All photos must be appropriate and suitable subjects. Photos should be turned into the Elementary Office, the High School Office, Lutheran School Office or Prairie Mercantile by the deadline on the entry form. Each Age / Composition Category will have a first-place award of $20. Second and third place will receive ribbons. All ages will be eligible for the Best of Show award of $50 which will be voted by the community. Limit of 3 photos per entrant. Photo Contest Entry Forms can be picked up at the schools or at Prairie Mercantile. Photo submissions will be on display from 9am-2pm at Pink Infusion Studio (next to the library on Main Street) during September Days, with winners announced on the Main Stage at 2:30pm. Be sure to stop in Pink Infusion Studio to check out the displays and while you’re there vote for your favorite!  Download entry form.


Cornhole Tournament

The September Days Cornhole Tournament will be held Saturday, October 5 with an earlier start time, beginning at 2pm. Business Division will be first, followed by the Open Division at 3pm. This year's contest will be held on 7th Street between Arvest Bank & Prairie Station. Entry fee is $20/team, two people per team. Business division will be single elimination, limited to 16 teams. Winning team will take home the traveling trophy. Open division will be double elimination and will accept 32 teams. 60% of entry fees will be paid out to the top 3 teams in the open division. Proceeds will go to the Lockwood CIA to benefit the Lockwood Golf Course. Register day-of, or text Robbie Patterson at 417-849-3350.


Saturday Evening Street Party

The September Days night time fun kicks off at 5:00pm when the beer garden (21+) and food trucks open for business. The 4-H Glow Run starts at 7:30. Quantum Athletics will be offering childcare from 6-10pm for $15/child. Committed food providers include Big Ren's, and desserts by Small Town Feline Friends!


4-H Glow Run

Registration begins at 7:00 pm behind Arvest Bank for the Busy Bee 4-H Glow Run! The race will begin at 7:30 pm. $10 to enter.
